How to lose half a stone in a week…

The weigh in for the fight is on the 9th Nov and will be a big factor in who I am paired to fight. So my thought process is the lighter I am hopefully the smaller & lighter my opponent will be.

Advice on how to lose as much weight as possible in boxing circles: A week before the weigh in start drinking 8-9 litres of water a day. 4 days beforehand cut out all carbs (apparently they store water) 36 hours before weigh in stop drinking anything and just eat a little fruit. Apparently your body gets used to the constant weeing and carries on after you have stopped drinking the daily 9 litres, totally dehydrating you. A quick sauna an hour beforehand hand is the icing on the cake. Assuming i am still alive in my wrinkled prune like state I should be at least half a stone lighter – which of course you put back on as soon as you have a drink of water…

Whilst I am sure this is fine advice, drinking that amount of water would mean i couldn’t leave the house as I would be constantly weeing all day and night and the CBA factor really comes into play.
Then again wine is diaretic, maybe if I just increased my wine intake to really dehydrate myself instead…
