After a slightly boring but successful 20 year career in insurance pursuing money, status and expensive toys it slowly started to dawn on me that happiness isn’t about what you have in life, but what you do in life.
Sailing across oceans gives you a lot of time to think and reflect about what is truly important to you. Taking time out to understand what my values and passions are and starting to question if I am really living in line with them.
One of the key ingredients in a happy and fulfilled life is actually helping others. Therefore, one of my passions is ‘doing worthwhile things with interesting people’. Why would I do things that aren’t worthwhile or do things with boring people?

My journey from being a ‘suit’ in the City of London to becoming a social entrepreneur has been a hell of a roller coaster ride. It includes going from being a millionaire to losing everything financially but finding who I truly am and living in line with my values, passion and purpose.
